Look at me, I am trying out for the Price is Right. Here is the little one with one of her Bratz Christmas Presents. She also got Bratz movie,cd, 35 mm Camera, MP3 player.. Let me just say that her whole room is Bratz these days.

Here she is with the 6th Harry Potter book, which I got the wrong one.. she needed the 5th..It's so hard to keep up. It only took her 1 week to read the 4th one!.

We had a fantastic time opening gifts this morning , but I am pretty happy it is all over with and life can go back to normal. We had lunch with my mom and dad and my youngest son which I really enjoyed too. All and all we had a nice time. I do hope everyone had a great Christmas and will have a safe and happy new year..

To my Loving Family Don and Cheyanne: My life would not be as full as it is , even with the ups and downs we have had this past year,but I would not change waking up each and every day having you in my life.. I love you so much that it is hard to put into words sometime, lord knows I have a very hard time showing how I really feel. My Knitty friends rock

I am lucky enough to have Stacy of Tempted yarns here in Oklahoma as one of my very best friends and knitting buddys. She stopped by my work this week while she was in town and brought me this great Christmas gift!!!!. I am sure she loves me more than life its self after seeing this t-shirt. MY HK Faceplate

I found a pic of my new face plate.. It does not show the gold stars and gold glitter that pop when you see the face plate.. Is this not the sweetest thing you have ever seen:).. I just love it to death.. It also has a non-slip surface that makes it alot easyer to hold the phone.

HLO KTTY

Well sorry fokes but not wip pics today. It seems that the batterys to my camera will not charge so I am unable to place great pics on my blog. We all know I love using my cellphone to grab shots,but this one thing I can not take a picture of because it is on my phone. My boss at work got me a Hello Kitty face place for my Razer phone that is to die for! I was like a 2 year old getting a new toy.She had gotten me a black face plate with pink hearts on it last week because I had talked her into upgrading her old phone to a razor and of coarse the sales person showed her all the face plates..lol.. she ended up buying herself 5 face plates plus my 2. What a great boss.. made my day.

Last week I did get a new skein of sock yarn at my LSN, it is Lang yarns which I had never heard of but when i saw it I decided I would make a pair of fingerless mits with it. Now to just find a pattern I like. My LNS did have the Just Not socks book that I feel in love with and is on my Christmas list for sure. It had been so long since I had bought any yarn that I just wanted to buy everything they had, but I don't think my family would like starving to death because I bought yarn. I am working on a winter hat for myself in pure white and hope to have it done this week so I can' wear it before we have another ice storm.. oh the ice storm last week was crazy here in Oklahoma and I was very lucky to not get any ice and no loss of power at my house. Millions of people were without lights and heat for way to long . We had people sleeping at work because they had no heat at home!.. I sure hope that mess is over with for a while. My thought go out to anyone that is still without power.

I have been working alot the last month and it seems I never have time to blog or even talk to friends on the phone these days,but I do hope that in the future that will change:) The next post I will include pics of the phone cover, my hate and my new sock yarn purchase.. Hope that there is still someone out there that is reading this crazy and boring blog:).. till next time.. peace out..

Sock update

Here is my progress on my Jaywalker socks in Sundance from Tempted!. I had to put these to the side for about a week because I was working on a poncho for my Daughter and wanted to have it finished by Thanksgiving day, which did not happen :) But the poncho is finished and I just need to make a pic of it on her. Life has been really crazy around here to say the least.. I has on the phone with my bank today for ever trying to get them to refund some of the money that they stole out of my checking account!. they refunded 70.00 of the 245.00 they took!!!.I have had my account with them for 7 years and I will be closing it next week. It took them 10 days to post my work check after I made a deposit and then charged me 7 NSF fees because I used my own money .. they are out of their ever loving minds, this little girl is going else were with her money.. I still will post fully on this situation later.
I have been working every day since Thanksgiving and finally today I got a day off!!.. I still had to get up at 4:00am to drive my Man to our Boses house 30 miles away and back home. Then my phone rang off the wall and I never went back to bed!!!. I have been a screaming, pissed off woman all day long because I am over worked, over worked and way to stressed out of money to deal with life today.. It just seems this year will never end and the bad luck just keeps coming.I do hope within the next couple of weeks my life will be normal and I won't be working like a crazy person..
On the knitting front I am working on another poncho, for a co-worker and i still have the jaywalkers on the needles..and I am thinking of doing a pair of fingerless gloves , we will see.. I knit most of my days at work,so there is no excuse to not knit since I sit on my butt looking at cameras..lol..I do like the new job alot :).. tell next time..

Holidays

Here I am at 4am in the morning on a Sunday getting ready to go to work for the 10th day in a row with no day off!!.. I have not had a day off from work since Thanksgiving which I don't call a day off since I had to help mom with the fixing of the food and clean the kitchen. I guess It was not the Thanksgiving I am use to since mom didn't make anythiny that day that didn't come out of a can!! Oh, the turkey and ham where fresh.I had wanted to fix dinner at my house but since it is so small we decided to work at moms house:( , but when I had agreed to this she said nothing of dinner coming out of a can!. I would have been more than happy to fix a real dinner. I will be so happy when the holidays are over. I see all these blog posts of familys putting up the Christmas tree and baking cookies having a grand ole time and I am just hating life with all the work and lack of sleep these days.I just am not wanting Christmas this year at all!!!..I just want to sleep and never get up again.. ok, enough of that... on another note, We seem to be in business with a bank . (Bank of America) that thinks they can just steel our money and get away with it.. boy can I post about this and I will later on,its just to long of a story to hash out right now at 4am... but the short story is that they have taken 300.00 out of our account in NSF fees when we had money in our bank!!!!!!!.. grrrrr.....Boy oh boy am I mader than a old wet hen about this mess and believe me I am trying everthing to get our money back. I will we posting fully about this tomorrow when I have a day off.I hope everyone is have a better week than me and is staying warm...

I can't believe it, I finally am getting a chance to be in a Hello Kitty Mystery KAL http://hellokittykal3.blogspot.com/. I was reading thrue my Hello Kitty group on Raverly and saw that Oslofia and Linda are going to do a HK Mystery KAL. I was so excited that I had to just post about it.. We will be starting the KAL on December 24 which I guess is a good thing since the holidays are coming . I will be posting pictures here ALOT and talking about it ALOT..lol.

Sunny Days

This post is a little late just because I wanted to fill the pages with all kinds of new pictures,but of coarse I am up at 4am this morning and the brain is not working that well yet. As you can guess I am finally back online and very happy to be settled into our new home and my soon to be new job! yes, you heard me correctly a new JOB. My better half has let me take over his job at Echostar/Dish network as a security guard:). Now this is the prefect job for me because of several reasons. First being that I will be working in a building with all my old friends/co-workers!!!! I can read all day long,play cards, knit, knit and more knitting... and I will work till 230 pm everyday except one day a week I will have to work till 11pm. Then there is the fact that me and Don /my other half will get to ride together to work every day which means only using one car, filling 1 gas tank. talk about saving alot of money on gas.. We are really excited about this because he got a new job at Dish Network as a cable installer which they will give him a company work truck, so we may not even have to drive our car to work everyday. we are talking over 50 miles one way to work since we moved out in the Boonie docks..lol... I got to meet the woman I will be working with and she is wonderful and sweet,so I am sure this will be a great job for me. Seems like life is finally stating to straighten out for us :)
On the Knitting front , the picture I have posted is of Sundance from Tempted Hand Painted yarns here in Oklahoma at http://www.temptedyarns.com/index.html I bought this yarn some time this summer and had been waiting for the right pattern to use it. Well, I found it.. I will try and make my first pair of Jaywalkers using the Sundance. Now when I had decided to do this I pulled the skein out and took off the band to re-ball the thread by hand.it was all going well until the yarn fell to the floor into one big tangled mess!!!!!!!!! it took me 2 hours or more to untangle and re-ball the yarn..lol.... I almost threw it in the trash and said the hell with it..I was so mad I could have spit at that damn mess. Of coarse I am very happy that I took the time to figure out the knots and put it all back together. Sounds like Humpty Dumpty story with a ball of yarn.. lol.. I have decided to make are few more projects and thought I would share them with you.

boy, I could go on and on with this list,but I will stop there because I really want to make these before winter is over. I also am making my Christmas list for my honey and it seems I am really needy this year. The list includes, best buy for Pink laptop and new Touch Ipod, Knit picks for a set of Options needles and Harmony needles if they are off back order. And alot of yarn!.. Of coarse I am sure he will buy me some Brighton Jewelry since I love it so much,but I can do without it for the above list..lol..
I hope to be blogging a lot more since I have the pc up and running again after I got the blue screen of death 2 days ago and had to reformat the hard drive..uggggg.... I sure have missed all my Internet friends and reading blogs.. see ya soon..

Happy Birthday

Happy birthday me. I had a nice day knitting on my mate to the trekking sock and layzing around the house all by myself. My family took me out to dinner were we ate way to much ! Lol thank you to all my friends that sent me b-day wises today:)

I finally finished my Trekking 100 sock! It has been a long time since i have finished a knitting project ,i am very proud of myself. I am starting the mate to this right now and hope to have a pair soon. :)

Time for change

Life is a grand journey leading to the unknown..Well it seems that way for my life at this point and time anyway.Me and my family have once again moved! We have moved to the same to town that my mom and dad live in.We had to get away from the city and crime and the high rental costs. we were paying 900.00 a month for our home and now we are paying 375.00! can you believe it... this is only a 2 bedroom and needs some work but I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. You can hear the birds chirping in the mornings and the locus keeping the beat at night, and there is even a train that goes by the house..lol.. I think once we get moved in it will all be for the best. This little town is a little like stepping back in time because they really don't have a lot , not even a Quick Trip!!!!.. No coffee shops, no Internet cafes... boy, what will I do.. Oh, and no yarn shops.. Tulsa is only 45 minutes from here,so I will be going there I am sure for my yarn and lunch with my friends. It will really be nice being here so close to my mom and dad.I guess there is always that point and time when we have to think about our parents getting older and needing more of our time and help.my parents are still running around and doing a lot of there own daily fun stuff, but I do know that spending time with them now will give me a lot of good memories when they are gone.
I still have not been able to update my podcast and feel so lost in my knitting world. It has been about 2 months or more since I have heard any new episodes and it is making me crazy!!!I feel like I am missing out on all the good and new products and designs. I am having any luck with my trekking socks once again. I seem to be having problems with the decrease in the heel , the socks come out way to big in the heel and I end up having to frog back and start again.. I think I need to just sit down with a good friend and figure out what my sock malfunction is..lol.. Since we have moved and will be spending a lot less on rent and living cost, I will try and find a part time job, that will leave me a lot of time for family and knitting!!! maybe I will finish a project for once this year.. lord, a whole year and no finished products! that is just nuts... maybe I will pick up baking once again too.. I love to cook and bake, of coarse sugar is a no-no in our house so I cook sweets with applesauce or other fillers of natural sweetness.. I do hope all my Internet friends are doing well and leave me comments here so i know I am not talking to myself..:)

Texas Longhorns Vs OU weekend

I am so excited that it is Texas Vs OU weekend football.. Of coarse I love the Longhorns even if I do live in Oklahoma..lol.. I will be wearing my longhorns hat tomorrow during the game and I will buy a shirt today.. I can not go to Norman to watch the game, but we will be at home watching for sure.. I hope everyone enjoys the game :)

Hello blog land.. As you all know or maybe you don't, I have been on a none buying yarn thing for about 5 months or longer. This is due to the fact that money is really tight and we just have other things to buy for our little one not to mention food. I search the internet and look at all the yarn and drull everywere and want to cry,because I can't have any!!!... uggg..... its so sad.. I love knitting and now I am not going to be able to soon.. My little girl is really sick. she has been running a 103 fever for about 3 days and we are getting ready to take her to the docter to see whats is going on. I feel so bad for her and the rest of the family . my hubby is sick and my youngest son too!! I am guessing i will be next in line.. Hope everyone is doing well out there in blog land. October is finally here : )

Well lets see were to start. It has been a while since my last post as you can guess I am still without internet access at home and have to run around looking for a friends pc or the public library to do my hand work.lol... I am still looking for a new job and hoping that it won't be long before a have a few phone calls. It is really hard to find a got this days that works with my family schedule and being close to home,but I am sure within in the next couple of weeks I will have something in the way of work.

I did pick up my Trekking sock in #100 and started to work on it for the past couple of days, I happend to be almost finished with it and hope to have it done in another day or so. Right now I am at my mom and dads out of town helping them unpack thier new home, mind you they moved over a month ago and I just learned that the house was not unpacked. So my mom called me and asked if I would come over and help out since I am not working..lol..... at least this will keep my mind of everything. I have taken dads laptop over today and spent most of the morning on Raverly!!! lord do I miss it.. I have added a few new friends and selected a few new groups, in the hopes that I will be online soon and able to chat and blog away once again. Not being able to blog,read or search the internet is like the worst punishment I have ever had... this has made me realize that I need to invest in buying a laptop!!!! this way I could at least get internet access via coffee shops and such.

on the knitting front I am having stash withdrawls because I have not bought any stash in over 2 months if not longer!!!!!!!!!!!! Yarn is calling to me, buy me, buy me PLEASE..... but first I have to have a job to buy yarn, I do have to eat and have air and water :), or do I..... I hope someone out there is still looking at my blog and haveing fun with it... lord knows I love reading all the blogs in blogger land.. I hope everyone enjoys the month of October...

My dads 70th b-day cake the cat eat before we did ! I had showed my dad the cake and we left the house to go eat a nice dinner for his birtday and when we returned back home I found the cake with a kitty bit out of it..lol...

Along the way

What do you think of this?????? I know some of you out there are loving this already..lol.. If I was into wearing one of these things I would buy it, but it has no place in my house even if it does have Hello kitty on it.

I am still working at the new job and really tired, not to mention my feet and legs are killing me!!!.. I am hoping that this will be a temp job till I can find something I really, really like.. I am not knocking working at a bakery,but I just don't see me working there for the next 20 years..:).. I am hoping to get online within the next 3 weeks!! keep your fingers crossed for me.. I really miss all my internet friends and reading blogs.. I feel like I am missing out on the whole world these days. I have done no knitting in about 3 weeks, not even 1 stitch!!!!. I just have been to tired and just blaaaaa.....hope to make a post sooner than what I have been doing here..take care everyone..

Im still here

Have you missed me? heee... Well I still have no internet at home so that is the reason for not posting as often. sign.... I sure do miss it.

I quit my job last week after a horrible customer talked to me like a dog and my manager said to just move on and not let it affect me and that the customer didn't know me on a personal level. When I asked very politly for the customer not to talk to me in such a manor I was told I could not ever let the customer know that they had upset me or they were doing anything wrong!!!!!!!! I will not work such assholes that won't stand behind their employees.. so I just walked out in the middle of my shift. I do have a new job and I start on monday!!.. Its at Merrits Bakery and will be loads of fun.. no more stressful jobs for me, I am putting myself and my family first for once in my life..
And to my Panera knit group.. I am so sorry for missing Tuesday night! I was really sick with a stomach bug and could in no way make it.. I hate when I miss hanging out with the group and talking all night.. Hope you all had a great time..
Not alot going on in the knitting front. I am still working on the MS3 on Clue 3 ,... going slow but I am having alot of fun with it.. I am still working on the Hendra sock from Cookie A on Knitty.com , and working on a plain sock in Trexxing #100.. I will try and post from my cellphone and see if it works, so if you read some little comments or blurbs, that would be me playing around.. I miss all my internet friends and hope to be online very, very soon... miss you all...

Harry potter fan night

I just learned that I can send pics and posts from my cellphone..lol.. This picture was taken at the Harry Potter wait in line all night to get a book :).. The girls had a great time spending the day together and dressing up , and I have to admit I had a great time too :).. the post is a little late, but I am still learning here..

The Hedera sock has ended

I ripped out the hendra sock from Cookie A that I was working on forever!!.. It just was not coming out right because I am a dumb butt and can't read the directions. So I have decided I will buy a new ball of the Panda cotton and start over. The reason being I have to buy more yarn is because this yarn splits really easy and I don't think i will look very good since I have frogged this sock like 3 or 4 times if not more..lol..
My Mystery Stole is coming along. I am on Clue 2 half way done and hope by the end of the week to be working on clue 3 at least. Clue 5 can out this Friday and I am trying to stay off the yahoo board so that I don't see anything about what it might be..lol.. But I am sure as big as the internet is I will trip on top of it one day.
My internet is acting crazy and kicking me off every 3 minutes or so.. So i may not be around at all since it will not even let me get on yahoo without disconnecting the DSL connection.. I am thinking I have a bug in my system and I will have to re-formate my hard drive.. I may be posting to my blog via my cellphone.. lord that will take forever.. I guess I better figure out how to do it first.lol..... I have no new pics to put up since I am being a lazy butt and not taking pics.. I will post as soo as I can and when my computer will let me... :) till next time..

My Family

I got a email this morning from a Cousin of mine that I have not seen in like 10 years if not more!!!. I thought I would post pics of me and my little family for him so he could see that I am getting old and fat...lol. the top pic was taken about 3 years ago and the bottom one was 2 years ago. I am still working on my MS3 stole that I keep messing up on so I am back to row 50 on clue 1.. I swear one day I will get to clue 2 if it kills me. Having worked on no lace prior to this I have to say that I really enjoy working on this and I see myself doing more lace in the future for sure!. I also down loaded some Classical music to my ipod today so that I have something relaxing to leason to while I knit. I am sure alot of you know already that I love Country music and 80 Hair bands like, Montly Crue and Skid Row and to many to mention right now., but I just for the life of me can't listen to head banging music while I knit on this MS3! Now socks is a diffrent story, but lace tends to take all my concertration and listening to Skid row is a large distraction for me since all I want to do is bang my head and jump up and down and dance. I was looking around Itunes this morning and found a podcast called The Concert and WGBH Classical Performances which as going to be my favs from now on.I can't remember the last time I listen to Classical music but it had to be back in the early 80's when I went to a o ballet. Just seems that life takes turns and twist and we just have to go along for the ride.

There use to be a podcast on Itunes called knit Tunes but I tryed downloading it today with no luck?? have no idea what the deal is with it, but maybe Itunes removed it for some reason? Check out all the new Knitting Podcast too while you are on there!!!. was to many to ever listen too,but fun to poke around anyway.. :)

I have fallen victom to the hype. I finally broke down and bought the first Harry Potter book today. I figured now is a really good time to read the book and decide if I want to read the rest after I finish this one. I worked on my MS3 lastnight and got a couple more rows done on chart A and B of clue 1.. I was suppost to go to my Knit night with my friends at Penera bread,but I am just to tired to move, plus I want to start on my book later . One day I will get a pic posted of my knitting.

Happy Monday

Well, it is Monday and away we go on another work week.. yuck...... I thought I would post since I have not done that in like a week. Man, time flys when you have to work. Do you see the theme here? I hate working and I want to stay home and knit and cook all day damn it!!.lol.. Like that is not going to happen for a while so I better just get it out of my head right now.
I had a great weekend. I spend the whole day and night friday with my knitting buddy :) Hey knitting buddy, you know who you are. We chatted , and chatted and eat and just had a really great time hanging out. now you would think we would have done some knitting,....no..... we were way to busy talking and eating..lol. Every time we get together we say we are going to knit all day but it never happens because we just end up hanging out and talking. We did go to the Harry Potter party at the mall which was diffrent, it was almost like going to a Star Trek convention in a way.. But it was really fun for our daughters to get dressed up and just have some fun.. All of that standing around waiting and I didn't buy a HP book..lol.. One day I will read them..

I did get chart A done on clue 1 of the MS3 yesterday !!!.. I am really having fun working on this and learning along the way. Of coarse I don't think mine will look like everyone elses because I have never done lace before and I really don't know if my gauge will be correct. Seems a little hard to figure out if I have the yarn to tight or to loss most of the time.lol.. I guess I will figure it out in the end.. I will try and post pics of what I have finished but at this point it is just a little ball of something on my needles..lol.. Have a great week everyone .

For Sale

Well I am having to say goodbye to my baby :( , we are putting the Trans Am Formula Firebird up for sale and hope to find it a really good home. This was a birthday gift I recieved last year from my boyfriend and we always thought we would keep it for our retirement to cruz the roads with, but it just is so not practical for us right now with the gas prices. This car is our love , but we are going to part with it. It has the LT1 corvette engine, 6 speed with the hurst shifter. It is not a car for a young kid or someone that is not use to dealing with alot of horse power, this car gets up and runs all on its own. But maybe one day we can get another fun car to play around with for our old age:).. Parting is such sweet sorrow .. I will keep my online buddys updated on the progress of this..

I went shopping yesterday for my Mystery Stole 3 project yesteday after work . As you can see in the above photo I bought pink Zephyr wool/silk lace wieght yarn and some new Addi Lace circlular knitting needles. I am so excited about my new knitting group meeting this coming Tuesday and making a shawl!.. I will post pics on the stated shawl when I start it tomorrow. Boy I'm I going to have alot of work to do..
The great HK hate was a great gift my knitting buddy! she gave this a couple of weeks ago on our day of fun together.. I love it Stacy, thank you very much..

Mystery Stole 3

I have taken the plunge and signed up for the Mystery Stole 3 on Yahoo! I really can't believe I got talked into this but it is going to happend. I had posted that I found a new knit group super close to my house that meets everyweek. They all started doing the MS3 so i figured what the heck, I will jump on board too..lol.. mysterystole3-subscribe@yahoogroups.com.. I still have to buy some yarn and a set of new circulars,but I am really excited to start. Of coarse I will be a week behind everyone else, but that is ok because it will give me the push to get on it! The sign up closes July 6,2007 so if you want to join you better do it now.

We went and saw Transformers today and it was unbelievable. Make it a point to go out and see it if you have not yet. I think today was the first day opening..lol. Well we are still trying to decide if we should fight the crowds and watch the fireworks or just stay home and watch from our house , which we don't have a great view at all.. all the trees and such.

On the knitting front, I messed up my Hedera sock lastnight and I can't seem to fix my mistake, so i guess I will put it up until I can have someone else look at it and tell me how in the world to fix it..Gives me an excuse to start a new project or 2..heeee.............

Toe up sock

I want to learn to do the toe up sock. I was on http://myfirsttoeups.blogspot.com/ and saw that she had alot of patterns for toe up socks on the side bar of her blog and with this great pattern called falling leaves from no other Knitty.com. And these use the Magic Loop method which I want to try also. So I wanted to start another pair of sock in addition to my Hedera socks which are still on the needles and it looks like I will try the Falling Leaves or maybe something a little easyer for my first go around.

I have decided to do the Spirit of the SouthWest Shawl which I feel in love with the first time I saw it. It uses Zephyr Wool/Silk lace yarn in Cooper which i think I will stick with since it is the color of the red rocks in New Mexico. http://www.allegroyarns.com/FiberTrends/swshawl.htm
I still have to buy the pattern and the yarn,but I figure this will something to look forward to in the next couple of weeks when I can really do some shopping. Of coarse I will buy a new set of circular needles just for this shawl.

I have learned that a blog is a great place to keep track of all the projects and stash I want. If I don't write it down I never remember what I want or what plans I had .lol. I would guess this is why most people start blogs. I have a long way to go in really knowing how to contruct a blog and how to add things to it. I guess in the future I will have to take a HTML class or something to help me along the way.

I still need to find a pattern for the Misti Alpaca lace yarn I bought in the pink, I think when the right piece comes along it will hit me and then it will be on baby.
I found out that there is a knit group in the town were I live ,that meets on Tuesdays nights at Penera Bread . I could not be more excited about it! I plan on going tomorrow night unless something comes along and I can't go like a major earth quake or something... I will take my camera and take some pics to share with you all. I am sitting here and wondering what in the earth to make for dinner! I hope I figure it out soon..

Hedera Update

Here is what I have doneso far on this crazy sock of mine. The next step in the directions is for the guesset. I am a little confused by the directions so I will have to take it slow and see where it takes me. I will be so , so happy when I have this completed and can start on the next on. I am really liking this yarn . I think I almost like the cotton/Bamboo mix better than wool just because it seems like It will wear better in my crockswith the nubbys inside them. My first pair of socks were 100% wool and they are starting to felt on the bottom from wearing them with my Crocks , I don't like that a bit!!!!!...

Bad Blogger

It has been a while since I posted. Not alot going on just alot of work and coming home to be to tired to knit! I have made no progress on my Hedera sock so there will be no update pictures to show right now.

I see that the world has gone mad over the new Iphone from Apple. I would not mind having one but I will wait for the reviews to come out first. I am a big electronics geek and most of the time have all the new toys, but this one I am pretty sure will have a few problems that I will want to see first hand before spending 600.00 right off the bat. Being a ex Telecommucations speicalist makes me have a little more advantage over the general public on knowing whats up with the new cellphones :). I took a vacation day today so that I could just hangout at home and do some knitting, which I have not got to yet because we did the wal-mart thing, blockbuster and now eating lunch and updating my blog:). I would hope to have alot of my sock completed by this weekend but as soon as I say that it will not happen.

Monday Me and my 8 year old step daughter took a road trip about a hour north of were we live to see my Knitting buddy and her family. We had such a great day I didn't want to come home! She showed me how to die yarn, I looked over all her great stash! I even got to use her spinning wheel, which I really sucked at because I have never done it before. But after using it I am really thinking I need to get one for myself when the time is right. My knitting buddy just got this hugh order for one of our local yarns shops so she will be really busy dying yarn and filling the order for a while. She is really excited that her yarn is flying off the shelfs. I have to have one of these made up like today!!.... Can you see peoples faces as you walk into a StarBucks with (Fuck Off I'm Knitting) on your shirt...lol.... You know when you are working on a piece that takes ever once of concentration that you have and someone comes along and says, hey whats ya doing there ?? you lose all scope of what you were just doing and it will take a week to frog back enough to know were you were. This and That

This is Trekking XXL # 100 which I recieved in the mail the middle of this week by great surprize to me . I had placed the order over 4 weeks ago and never recieved a response from the company on the status of this order. This was the same order I was trying to place with Trekking #126 which they didn't have. So without any communications to me about my order they charged my creidt card monday and I recieved this in the mail. To say the least I am not very happy about not being notified of the order being filled and sent to me. Seems to me it would have been the professtional thing to do to send a email to a customer to see if they order is still in demand before charging ones credit card. Here is my baby Cowboy laying in my craft room looking all sweet.. ya right..lol... He is a little over a year old and I have had him since he was 3 weeks old. Can you see the meaness in his eyes...lol.. he is such a mess I can't even begin to talk about it.
I am going to work on my now famous Hedera sock after cleaning house, doing laundry and running to wal-mar, updating my blog,reading my email... I think I can sit down and work on it for a couple hours without moving. Then I will be able to post a pic finally. I have only done the 10 rows of ribbing, and 4 rounds , so not much to take a pic of at this point,but it will get there by the end of the week.I will be so happy when I get some progress on this sock, it's like climbing a mountain for me at this point,but I know with a couple deep breaths I can do it.

Sweet 16

Yesteday June 10th, 2007 was my youngest sons 16th birthday! I can't believe that he is almost grown, man were does the time go. We had a great day together with the birthday party and as you can see in the picture his dad bought him a Harley!He was so excited he could not stand to sit still,except for on the bike. He just got his driving permit last week so I guess he will have to take a test to ride this monster. I had no clue his father was going to give him this and it is very scary for me to think of my baby out on the open road on this ,but I am sure he will have alot of fun on it. I asked if I could ride on the back and he sad (NO MOM!).. lol.. I guess that would not be to cool..lol.. this will give him and his dad a chance to spend time together since my ex also has a Harley and his uncle has a Harley.. I guess I better go out and buy a Harley so I can ride with the pack.lol.. I am off work today and I will try and work on my Hedra sock that is just looking at me and screaming to be finished or started, which ever way you want to look at it..lol.. Hello Kitty Heaven

A Sock Nightmare

Well first of all I can't believe I am at home while the sun is still up! I have been working nights with this new job and today I started my new shift of 7am-4pm.. ya me . I am very excited to be home with the family to have dinner and post on the new blog.
I tried yesterday to work on the Hedera sock and once again got stuck on the 3rd round with 3 more stitches than I needed!! I emailed Cookie A at Knitty and she gave me the link to knitting help and told me the pattern had a update to the pattern and that might be the problem.when I took a look at it I already have the updated copy so that was a no go. I am hoping someone can tell me what the heck is up with it so I can get started on this sock before I go mad!!! if there are supposed to be 2 repeats on each needle which is 20 stitch's then way does it have 12 stitches on round 3? I am so confused Will someone please save me from the hell of not knowing what the heck I am doing with this damn sock... OK, enough about that.
the pic I have posted with this is the first pair and only pair of socks I have made and I have to say that this pair was much easier than what I am trying now with Hedera,but I wanted to challenge myself .what was I thinking..lol..
We are sending the little one off this week to grandmas house for some fun in the sun and for summer vacation, for her and us so she is really excited about leaving us behind and getting spoiled at grandmas house,can't say I am to happy with the spoiling part ,but I guess I just have to live with it.

A Yarn Adventure

I just had to tell the story behind this yarn because it is and adventure that has lasted for almost a year. When I first saw Trekking #126 it was while surfing the Internet and coming across a blog with this stunning sock,right away I knew I had to have this yarn named Neapolitan #126 to make my own socks.Well, It happens that is was discontinued and it was no where on the world wide web to be found,so I gave up looking. Then last month I happened to see a blog with a new posting stating they had bought Trekking #126 at their local LNS and it had been placed back on the market after so much pleading from the yarn obsessed public. None of my local LNS had any Trekking so I was left to surf the web for my sock yarn , low and behold I found Uncommon Threads with a posting that they had the Trekking #126,so I rushed and placed my order for 1 skein. It was the next day they sent me a email stating they were out of stock and could place a order for it the following week. I thought to myself, well I can wait 1 week for this yarn, no big deal right?then a second email followed stating that they could not get it because it has been discontinued AGAIN!!!! I happened to be at work when I read this second email and went into a true fit to be tied state. I was so angry that they had this product on there website and didn't have it in stock! then played around with me and still could not get it. So I asked that my order for Trekking #100 be shipped to me anyway, and that I was very disappointed that they were so lacks at keeping up their website . I received no reply and I still have not received my Trekking #100 and my credit card was never charged!!!!!!.. this was my first time ever buying yarn on line and with Uncommon Threads and it didn't leave a good taste in my mouth at all. Following my melt down at work over this yarn I decided right then and there i would get this damn yarn if it killed me, some way, some how. So I hit the Internet again searching high and low and found Fibre Yarns and they had my beloved yarn. First I sent them a email asking if they had the product in stock before hand,I wanted to save myself the hardship of another meltdown. So after sending the email I continued with my morning and I headed to work thinking about the yarn..I received a phone call from Fibre Yarns that morning telling me that she had 1 skein in and if I wanted it she would be more than happy to hold it for me!!>> I was so excited I could hardly stand it. She held the yarn back until I got my lunch break and could pay for the yarn on her site. Now how is that for great Customer Service!!. I will be doing alot more business with them since they treated me like a valued customer. I also lucked out the same day and found another skein of the Trekking #126 on Modern Yarns, what a great shop also. I placed both orders on the same day and received my produce 2 days later from both!!!!!!!!...They have both restored my faith in buying yarn over the Internet and I am sure they will make alot of money off me. . Love to hear about anyone Else's adventures buying for favorite yarn, or yarn you have seen on blogs that you just had to have..

Jordana Paige Bag

My first entry into my blog and I am not quit sure what to say or just what to talk about but I know how to take pictures and hope this will make up for the lack of grammar or writing skills that follow along in this journey.
November of 2006 I learned to knit by first taking a sock class. I thought why note just jump right off the bridge and learn something that looks really hard. It was the best gift I could ever give myself. Since learning the basic knitting of a sock I have gone on to knit a couple hats,scarfs and working on the sock pattern Hedera from Knitty by Cookie the obsessed knitter.Now mind you this is only my second pair of socks EVER since learning to knit. I have frogged the sock about 5 times now . I am sure that in the near future I will be able to put this puppy together. In the mean time maybe I will work on some crochet or cross stitch just to mix it up a bit.
I bought a Jordana Paige bag yesterday when me and my new knitting buddy took a road trip to Ft.Smith Arkansas to Stringtown Yarn and Fiber, did I mention it was so much fun! that I wanted to buy the whole store!. It is so hard going into LNS and not buying every little thing they have. But I did get my Lovely red bag that i will carry every were with all my little goodies inside.I also bought 2 skeins of pink Alpaca yarn ,which i am sure will take me a while to vinture into since it is so little and fraile. If you are in the Ft.Smith area I urge you to stop by the store. It is in a beautiful old brick building with hard wood floors that say (walk this way to my pile of yummy yarn). It had the feeling of a place I could just spend all day knitting and talking among friends. I am sure we will visit again really soon since it is only 1 1/2 from my home. Hint hint..lol... In the pic you will notice Hello Kitty stitch markers! These were special made for me and are a one of a kind by new new knitting buddy . I am a big,big fan of Hello kitty and even have a whole room in my house full of her:). So these stitch markers mean alot to me.. Thank you knitting buddy.I would post her site on Etsy that she sales her hand dyed yarns,but I need to get her ok first, so look for that in the future.
