Our poor Trans Am

Don and Cheyanne were involved in a wreak last sunday that killed our poor TA. As you can see they were hit from the back and the front of the car went under the car in front of them. The car is a total loss and we are trying to find middle ground with the insurance company on a fair amount for our baby. Cheyanne was not hurt, but Don has a bad rotater cuff and is having to see a docter for .. fun stuff.. I will post more last, just noticed I have to fly our the door to work...
We think we did find a truck we want :)

Yarn shopping

I decided after work today to head over to the my LNS and do some early birthday shopping for myself. Boy did I have a time trying not to pick up everything I saw today. I really wanted some Karabella Gossamer but at 25.00 a ball that was just a little to much for me. Maybe someone that really loves me will pick up my wish list at Stitches in Tulsa to pick out 2 balls of these lovely yarn :)
I did buy the pattern for the Triangular shawl for the Gossamer yarn today in hopes my dear boyfriend will pick out the 2 balls for me next week :) .. Do you think he will get the hint after reading this
Not alot going on here, just trying to finish the baby blanket I have been working on and to finish a pair of socks I started for my honey. He come back home for good 2 days ago and I am really happy to have him back! It was really hard having him gone for 5 weeks, so I really hope that he will not have to go back out any time soon.. Speaking of which, he got the promotion to Field supervisior manager at Dish Network! I am so very proud of him. Poor thing had to do 4 interviews for this position and went out of market to work for 5 weeks . It will be alot of new work for him,but he will not do installations anymore and will have more time at home :)
My weight loss is still going and I am down almost 14 pounds. I have stalled because I am not working out and im just keeping off what I have lost..
Hope all my friends are doing well and are knitting hard.. Till next time all..

So like I mentioned in the last post, I really am trying to loss weight and get into shape. There are 10 pounds gone so far and I did the treadmill for a hour lastnight! I have not been on this thing in over a year so I am guessing I did pretty good. In doing all of this I have to keep focus of the fact that I am doing this to feel and look better. The meds for my bloodpressure have really worked so now its my turn to get my work outs done. Weight watcher is in my furture since I know I need meetings to keep motivated and to be around others that are working hard to over come the fat to. Lossing 2 pounds a week will be great, but I am keeping an open mind to all this, I'm not going to pressure myself into falure so soon in the game. I hope to post once a week to keep my self accountable. :)

Babys and such

This is what I have been working on for most of the week at work. This is a baby blanket I was going to have this finished about 6 or 7 months , I just started it ,talk about not wanting to do this.Don't get me wrong I love baby's but it was the whole Idea of making the blanket it's self, the colors she wanted and what pattern I was going to use. I ended up using a pattern for a regular afghan and just halfed so it would be alot smaller. It's called Very Victorian and is crochet. I have not touched a crochet hook in over 2 years now since learning how to knit, but I have to say this is alot of fun but can't wait till it is over. The colors are light blue and light green, not my chose but the babys
Here is my little Pretty in Pink Blackberry :) she makes me so very happy that I have to take pics of her to show all you Hello kitty fans out there in blogger land . The theme I have on my BB is from and they have quit a few Hello kittys and other things to bling up your BB, so go check it out.
Every since I got this little piece of joy I have really learned alot about everything it can do. Some of my favorite places to visit for more information are ,, . There is also the site for any questions you may have ,but seems to really been the shit on technical issues and finding great themes to download to your phone.
I am still working on clue 1 of the MS4 and have to say I really love it! I should have more time this week to sit down and really get clue 1 finished.
Tell next time , keep on smiling peps..

Carrie Underwood and yarn

Last weekend was Labor day and we all went camping and floating at the Illinois River north of Tahlequah ,Oklahoma Well since this would be a busy river weekend me and a girlfriend decided to pick up some Marti Gra beads for the guys at the Doller Tree. Guess who was there looking smashing.. Carrie Underwood ! she went to school there and was trying to buy a baby gift for her friend I about fell out when I saw her., man is she pretty. No autograph or pictures because we didn't want to be rude and just rush her and be all crazy or anything, so all I have is the memory of seeing her up close and personal.. :) we did learn that she was there for the baby shower and for a free concert in Tahlequah for the festival . Now people Carrie tried to go to the Wal-mart right next door to the Dollor tree but it got really crazy and she had to be taken out to the building, so this is the reason she was at the Dollor tree..
Here is the Knitpicks Lace Gloss in Raisian I am using for the MS4, not a great pic but it will have to hold ya over till I take more ..

What have I been up too?

Above would be 2 weekends ago at Don's 40th birthday party.. He had a blast
Here is the Cake I had made for him. I call him my Superman because he can do anything,so I had it made with green for criptanight and black for turning
This is the Rowan Kidsilk and beads I am using for my Ice Queen from knitty that is going very slowly at this point. I think I should have learned to do magic loop before trying this :)
And here is my New baby :) my Crackberry.. I am so addicted to this thing that I hold it in my hand 24/7, no joke. I don't know how in the world I lived without it. I found a wonderfull website called that has really showed me how to use all the applications and functions on this phone. It has great forums for themes and technical questions and just is down right fun. I spend alot of time of the website and hope that one day I will be a Crackberry exspert :)
There is so much to update everyone on so I will just touch on a few. I am doing the MS4 which the first clue came out yesterday and i will start that today, I am using Knitpicks lace gloss in Raisins and some wonderfull beads I got here in Broken Arrow. I will post picks later.
on the Knitting front I am working on the Ice Queen which is really giving me a time since I have never done magic loop, I am still working on the Clapotis and of coarse the MS4.. I have decided that after all these little projects are over I want to make the central park hoodie :) I have never done anything this big and I am sure I will neeed more help than I now, but we all have to start somewere..
I have been doing Weight Watchers all week and hope to pay my dues maybe today and will be able to go to meetings and have access to the online tools. I just can't stand not being the skinny girl anymore and I am doing something about it. Don and I are starting the gym next week so I am sure in a matter of 6 months I will be doing well with the getting in shape and lossing the old lady body.
Till next time, be safe and happy knitting :)

More toy's

Sorry I have been away so long my boggy friends. I guess my mind is still on vacation and not paying attention to my blog. .most of my time has been spent working and just being down right lazy! Some of the things I have been doing are reading, which includes the knitting mystery series from Maggie Sexton. Knitting has become such a every day part of my life that reading about it seems like the next step. These books are a lot of fun and even more so since I got to meet Maggie Sexton in person a couple of months ago at a book signing here in Tulsa. Knit night never comes fast enough or last long enough. This last Wednesday my knit buddy showed me how to do magic loop. I have learned this because its been a long time coming and because I want to make the Ice Queen from knit ty. Now looking at the ice queen the first time on knit ty I said I liked it, but after seeing it in person I want to make one. Me wanting to make it, and me really making it are two different things all together! maybe I am a processor of the knitting and not a maker of projects..... That is something to think on. Also I have joined the MS4 on yahoo and on Raverly. Now referring to the above paragraph do you think I will finish the knit along :). I am sure going to try. I still have the uncompleted MS3 in the wings screaming at me to be finished, I think it will be a while before I can even think about it. On hold still a pair of socks for my better half and I am still working my clap otis . I have more than enough knitting to last a lifetime right now. Oh I almost forgot the new toy! The better half got me a Blackberry Curve last week:). He is so sweet to me that sometimes I wonder what in the world I did to be graced with such a sweet man. A lot of y know that I am a total tech nerd and love cell phones and computer. Well this phone has been on my wish list for about a year since it came out, but we just could not see paying 250.00 or more for it. Let me speak for myself here. I would have payed the listed price just because I wanted it, but mr wonderful was not for it. We were almost out of contract with t-mobile and they made him a deal he could not refuse. So I have my new toy and love it. There is still a lot I don't know how to do but I am learning. places Like Crackbery and and tube have been a big help and a great reference tool. Enough about me, what has everyone been knitting? What new electronics have you purchased? I want to know so leave me a comment and tell me all about it.

Back from Vacation

This is the private breakfast Don and I had at the bed and breakfast we found on our 3day of vacation in Missouri. The Inn is called Stone Ridge Inn Bed & Breakfast ,Proprietress Bessie Lee the sweetest woman you have ever meet in your life.Bess is the best cook I have come across. She fixed us a sack lunch the first day and that night we had a 10 coarse meal that made all of us cry is was so good!!! she is a amazing cook and it was truly the best meal I have had in my whole life. The next morning she made us by our request homemade biscuits and gravy..yummy.. I would suggest this Inn to anyone that wants piece and quit with a touch of grandma in every room. Her website is .
She is located in Dora ,Missouri. Make sure you click on the tour on the bottom of her web page to see the beauty of her Inn.
This is a picture taken at Dawt Mill in Missouri our first morning of vacation. It had stormed the night before and was still raining some. The fog on the Mountains was just amazing .
This is a picture I took on a float trip we took some were upstream from Dawt

This is the bride at Hudgson Mill . I love this old mill and there are plenty along the road as we went from Dawt Mill to Springfield Missouri.
I think this is the only pic that came out that I took at Fantastic Caverns in Springfield.

The first morning we found this little dinner in Tecumscie . I love all the wood on the inside of diner, makes it look that the beautiful woods outside.
This is Don wish one of his many little fish he he is just so happy fishing :)
The is the Mill at Hudgson ...There is a store at the top were the little windows are that sale homemade crafts made by the locals.. I have to say this is my favorite mill..
The only place that we didn't get to go to was Sealed with a Kiss in Guthrie...humm, I think that was done on some level of intent and purpose by He hates the thought of me spending money on yarn. So we spent the money on fishing and camping this time. We had a wonderful time and wish it could have lasted forever, but we had to come home . I will go back to work this coming Monday with regret.. They have called me almost everyday I have been gone because of problems with staffing and other major issues, but that is part of being the supervisor.. :)

All kinda stuff

First off these are pictures that were taken a couple weeks ago for my sons 17th birthday.. He is the one with the shades. The top pic is my man and my son .
Blake and MOM :)

And Here is me and my baby, this is a rare event that you will see pics of me on my own blog since I hate taking them. Its that whole getting older and fatter thing that I just can't seem to get over..
On the home front things have been crazy this week. My better half has been to the ER twice and once again today.. They ran test and found out he has Diverticulitis . They first thought that his apendexs was bad but thank god it was not that. He is home now on alot of medication and won't be able to go back to work for at least 3 days!..Boy let me tell you I have alot of bad things to say about Saint Francis Hosptial ER right now,but I will save you all the bitching.. Let's just say that they make people wait in thier ER for 8 or 9 hours!
I am still working on my Clapotis in the Lets knit 2 gether KAL on raverly , seems like it is taking me alot longer to finish this than I thought it would take, but I really enjoy the pattern and I can't wait to make another soon. I am hoping I will have it done before we leave for our vacation on July 3rd, that way I can start one with sock yarn and I can just shove it in my bag. I guess I need to figure out what projects I am going to take with me on vacation too.. I will have to sit down and thing about that one for a while. Going on vacation is like a dream come true since we have not taken one in over 5 years. Seems like something always came up and we never could get away. Not really sure were we are headed yet except to Missouri for a couple days of camping for the 4th of July ,but I am sure we will figure it out :)

Playing With New Camera

Here is me at work fixing to eat Mr. Patrick the donut from a local baker that was dumb enough to bring us 6 dozen donuts and ask us to pass them around the call center...HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.. I don't think they made it :)
This picture was taken Tuesday night at the Maggie Sefton book signing which was wonderful. On the left is Kat from my Wednesday night Penera knit night and on the right is the Rock Star of Yarn Miss Stacey from Tempted Yarns here in our very own Oklahoma :) ... I was feeling poorly that night so no pics of me to show, but I had a great time and learned that Knitters are so sweet and friendly. A shout out to all the Lady's in my knit group that I have not seen that much of lately, but hope that will change very, very soon...

My Jordana Paige bag is still not here :( The UPS tracking says I should have it next week no later than Thursday. I will have to wait and see or die trying.

Pretty in Pink camera

Look at what I was able to get last night :) The story goes like this. I bought my first digital camera 5 1/2 years ago right before Don and I went on a trip to Las Vegas and it was a really good camera for the time. It was a Kodak Easy Share CX3400 with 3.2 mega pixels.. I know, I know you can stop laughing now. Well as time has gone on and I take allot more pictures I really started to hate the camera because the pictures just sucked ass to put it in my own words. So I have been begging for a new camera and of coarse it had to be PINK. As you can see it is pink and I am still trying to learn how to use the thing, plus it didn't come with a memory card!!!! as in the picture above I got the bundle pack which you would think I would have everything I needed to get started.. nope.. of coarse I really can't figure out how to use the memory stick with the camera??? I am more than happy with this new little toy and it came at a great time because my PINK Jordana Paige bag has not arrived yet and I said I would have a PINK camera to put in the PINK bag :).. boy I am spoiled or just a
I went last night to see a friend that was my supervisor at work and had the best time.. MISS Linda is a great woman and I am very proud to know her. She has a awesome house in the woods that is just amazing to see, and the quit is like no other. I could sit on her front porch all day long knitting if I had to. Of coarse I don't see me doing to much knitting outside in this nasty heat here in Oklahoma.. yuck.
I am in the group Lets Knit Together on Raverly and I am doing the Clapotis KAL and I have to say this will be the first KAL I will complete. I am really have allot of fun with it and will be making another one . I am making this test run Clapotis out of Caron simply soft light pink and I did this just to make sure I could make this thing and if It is something I will wear. If all goes well I will give this one to the little monster in the house and make my self one out of some Alpaca sock yarn I have. wish me luck :)
The new job has been a little stressful this last week since I have had to write up 2 people on my night shift and 1 quit already. It's just a mess right now because the old supervisor did not supervise, he just came to work and sat like a lump on a log.. so now they think they can still play... wrong answer with me. Being a bitch is not part of being a supervisor but I swear they are pushing all the right buttons to make me be that way. The person that quit went into the computer system got into my schedule file and modified it and posted it for everyone to see!!!!! I just could not believe he had the balls to change the work schedule and then post it! making an ass out of me, I think not buddy.. anyway he is gone and I can start looking for a replacement right away. Besides all that I really do like having more responsibility and giving direction to the lost little sheep'
My baby boy will be 17 Tomorrow!!!! June 10th.... it is so hard to believe that I am that old.. Love you Son... Happy Birthday....

I am off for the next 2 days so I will be cleaning and washing clothes today and tomorrow I finally have my docters appointment for my high blood pressure, I still can't believe it took me 4 months to get an appointment . Thats what you get when you go thrue the Indian clinics and hospitals here in Oklahoma, the run around because it is all free.. live and learn.

Glitter Words

Hard to believe that I have been keeping up with this blog for a whole year! There are have been times that It was very hard to even find anything to post about and other times there was just to much work to be done at work or home. But I do have to say that I am very glad that I have managed to keep it going. :)

Here is Miss Elizabeth with the Prayer Shawl I gave her yesterday! She almost started crying when I gave her the gift bag that held the shawl. A little story behind Miss Elizabeth, we meet of coarse at work some 6 months ago. She would come in with a scarf around her head because she was having cemo for her breast cancer. She reminds me of my grandma and we just became fast chatty buddys. She had a breast removed before Christmas and thought the worst was over, then about 3 weeks ago she found out that she has a brain tumor and they are doing surgery to remove it in 2 weeks. I was just so devastated by this that I had to do something to show I cared and that I was thinking of her. Then I thought of making that shawl, I know its not much but I do hope it gives her some comfort before and after the surgery. Love ya Elizabeth...

I am still waiting for my Jordana Paige Pink satchel to get here........I am like a little kid just wishing and wishing for my grand present to show You know I was looking at my blog and I bought my first J.P red satchel last July when me and Stacey from Tempted yarns went to Fort Smith to StringTown yarn and fiber shop. How crazy is that!! a satchel 1 time a year sounds good to Stringtown Yarn and Fiber Shop is amazing shop. It is a great old building that is just open and very friendly. If you are in Fort Smith you should stop by.

Well, I have joined a KAL in Raverly the Lets Knit together group to do a Clapotis. I went and bought some really cheap yarn just to give it a try first then if I really like what I have made I will invest a little more money on good yarn. I have learned that me doing KAL or anything of that nature seems to get put on the back burner and never done,so this time I spent about 20.00 for the yarn and if I don't use it for the Clapotis I will give it to the little she monster running around my house to crochet with... Have a great day :)

Prayer Shawl

I started this Prayer Shawl last Saterday at work for a co-worker that is having brain surgery in a couple weeks and this is the only thing I could think of that I could do to let her know that I really hope she recovers well and that cancer is not part of the mass they remove. I am hoping that this will bring her comfort when she is not feeling well in the days to come. I will let you know how she likes it..
I used 3 skeins of Lionbrand Homespun on size 13 needles..

I got a job promotion today to Site Supervisior!! I have worked very hard for this and I excpect to have alot of fun with it. This comes with some perks of coarse like any move up the chain. Pay raise and better hours and days off which I never thought would come but it has. Wish me well on my new venture.

IT'S PINK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyone that knows me should now that I have emailed Jordana Paige at least 3 times to suggest that the this bag be PINK :).I looked on her blog last week and saw she was runnging a contest to guess the new color of the bag and I of coarse sent my guess of pink, and I was right!! I was so excited at 5:00am this moring to see this , then I remembered I had not checked my email yet.. maybe I won the bag.... No such luck,, This bag was made for me....I am the Pretty in Pink girl damn it. I want the bag right now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Is is so pretty. I really thought I would win it, I guess will just have to buy it for myself or talk someone else into buying this pretty in pink bag for me :)>>>> I'm still jumping up and down over this bag... This just made my whole day... I was going to post about something else but I think this post should just be about the Pretty in Pink thats what I have named it for my little pretty that will be in my home very soon I hope... Thank you Jordana :)
Looking over my blog I noticed that my very first post was when I bought the Red Jordana Paige Satchel. It a post that made alot of my friends go and buy a bag or at least want to pet mine :)... see I am still smiling over this bag.

School Is Out for Summer

The kiddo had her last day of school yesterday for summer vacation and I took my last night class last Thursday and took my state exam this morning :)... I am so glad this is all over and I can go back to my lazy life of work and knitting. It will take about a week to know if I passed my Cleet exam so I will keep my fingers crossed and pray I don't have to do that again. It has me thinking that I really need to take a couple night classes for accounting to put on my resume and possibly get another account job with normal 8-5 hours Monday thrue Friday which would be great.I think the key point here is to just take some classes to get a better paying job with normal hours and days off.
I have done NO knitting in about 1 month. This would be because I had class 3 nights and week and every night I had class I had a test...yuck.... but now I can knit, knit and more knit......
In my last post I took photos of my new Palm , which I have taken back to Sprint. I loved the phone but the service was not great and the reception was less than perfect. So for now we will stay with our current provider until last this summer when our contract is up , then we will be off to At&T .. I sure hope everyone is getting ready for a great summer and losts of fun... We are sure ready, infact my better half came home with a WII gaming he will be gaming on his days of now. Boys, can't live with them can't live without them....

Im still around

I thought I would post a little something before heading off to work this morning. Above are a couple of yarns and books that I have bought over the last month with all the intent to start new projects or to learn a new way to knit socks. Well, since I have been going to school none of this has I have about 1 more week of school and my life will calm down ,so I am really looking forward to normal nights with the family. I went out last week and purchased a new Palm thinking it would help me keep track of tasks and bills :) , we will see if I can update the scheduler everday on the laptop, but so far this little thing is wonderful!!!!! it is like having my laptop with me everwere and more. You really can't see it from my crappy photo but the phone is PINK :) .. I sure have enjoyed reading blogs about the adventures at the Loopy Ewe Spring Fling, boy did I miss a good time. There is always next year and boy do I want to make it a point to go.
I spent a couple hours this week at the dentist office and was told I needed 3 root canals !!!!!!!!! oh my god!!! or i can have them pulled and bridges put in... I am so freaked out I don't know what to do,but I do know that they want to charge me about 5,000.00 for all this work!!!!!!! there is no way I can have all this done. So I will be looking hard into other dentist and options at this point. I should have been a dentist..:)
Hope all you out there are doing well and are knitting up a storm. Till next time... peace..
