Bags and Stash
LAUGHLOVEnKNIT on Raverly ;)
We are chat buddies on Blackberry Messager 5.0 group that has been handed over to me to run and I can not tell how much fun we have talking all day and night.Laughlovenknit also known as Megan was so sweet to sale me her new Hermosa bag that she didn't use because of the size, too big. Of coarse I was like I'll buy it if you want to sale. So we worked out a price and I sent my payment to her gladly. I was so excited to think I was getting my 3rd Namaste bag, that I could not stand it,I was very grateful to Megan for selling hers to me since I could not fork over the 75.00 they wanted for a new one.
I was all over the mail box waiting for my new bag .when I message Megan because I had not heard from her in a couple days she told me she was pretty sick . I told her not to worry about packing out the bag until she felt better and there was no hurry at all. Well when I got the bag Thursday I looked inside and there sat the Wollmeize :) I can't believe she was so sweet to part with it.. I never in a million years thought I would own Wollmeize. Its just so hard to get your hands on that I have pretty much have given up on getting any.
It is just amazing the wonderful people I have meet doing the Blackberry Messagner 5.0 group. I want to thank each and everyone for there part in making it such a wonderful, warm , kind place to be every day.
Happy knitting all..
Thank you Megan for such wonderful gifts. The bag is wonderful and the Wollmeize is to die for.. thinking I will make some gloves with it.

New Knitting Bag

It has been a while since I bought a new knitting bag, the last being my Pink Jordana Paige knitting sachel. I really needed something that was not as big and that I could take into work or public that didn't knock people over when I walked down the isle, lol.. and something that just is not as heavy with my knitting and other crap in it. So I was up at 4am this morning and was looking on Raverly and could not find a Namaste bag http://www.namasteinc.com/products/handbags/handbags.php for sale that I liked, so I hit google for Namaste sales. And like always the internet never fails me, I came to a blog that said Woolgirl had a 20% off sale on Namaste bags. The hardest part of all this once I got to WoolGirls website http://woolgirl.com/index.html was deciding between the Newport bag which is 44.25 or the Zuma at 55.20. The Newport had the color I wanted of Saddle and the Zuma Saddle is sold out.. Then I saw the Zuma had the new black and that was it. I thought this would be a bag I could carry with everything I wear and it would look just like a purse and is not to big to look like a granny bag or a knitting bag. So I just ordered me a Namaste Zuma in black :) I can't wait to get it and show pics to everyone .. I really wanted the Saddle color but maybe down the road I can order another one . If any of you out there have the Zuma Namaste bag let me hear from you. I want to know how well you like it or don't like it. I will post pics of the new bag when it gets here this coming week. I was hoping it would be here by Wenesday for knit night but I think that would be pushing it some.

It's Here!!!
Wednesday, June 4, 2008

Hard to believe that I have been keeping up with this blog for a whole year! There are have been times that It was very hard to even find anything to post about and other times there was just to much work to be done at work or home. But I do have to say that I am very glad that I have managed to keep it going. :)
Here is Miss Elizabeth with the Prayer Shawl I gave her yesterday! She almost started crying when I gave her the gift bag that held the shawl. A little story behind Miss Elizabeth, we meet of coarse at work some 6 months ago. She would come in with a scarf around her head because she was having cemo for her breast cancer. She reminds me of my grandma and we just became fast chatty buddys. She had a breast removed before Christmas and thought the worst was over, then about 3 weeks ago she found out that she has a brain tumor and they are doing surgery to remove it in 2 weeks. I was just so devastated by this that I had to do something to show I cared and that I was thinking of her. Then I thought of making that shawl, I know its not much but I do hope it gives her some comfort before and after the surgery. Love ya Elizabeth...
I am still waiting for my Jordana Paige Pink satchel to get here........I am like a little kid just wishing and wishing for my grand present to show up.lol.. You know I was looking at my blog and I bought my first J.P red satchel last July when me and Stacey from Tempted yarns went to Fort Smith to StringTown yarn and fiber shop. How crazy is that!! a satchel 1 time a year sounds good to me..lol.. Stringtown Yarn and Fiber Shop is amazing shop. It is a great old building that is just open and very friendly. If you are in Fort Smith you should stop by.
Well, I have joined a KAL in Raverly the Lets Knit together group to do a Clapotis. I went and bought some really cheap yarn just to give it a try first then if I really like what I have made I will invest a little more money on good yarn. I have learned that me doing KAL or anything of that nature seems to get put on the back burner and never done,so this time I spent about 20.00 for the yarn and if I don't use it for the Clapotis I will give it to the little she monster running around my house to crochet with... Have a great day :)

Jordana Paige Bag

November of 2006 I learned to knit by first taking a sock class. I thought why note just jump right off the bridge and learn something that looks really hard. It was the best gift I could ever give myself. Since learning the basic knitting of a sock I have gone on to knit a couple hats, scarfs and working on the sock pattern Hedera from Knitty by Cookie the obsessed knitter. Now mind you this is only my second pair of socks EVER since learning to knit. I have frogged the sock about 5 times now . I am sure that in the near future I will be able to put this puppy together. In the mean time maybe I will work on some crochet or cross stitch just to mix it up a bit.
I bought a Jordana Paige bag yesterday when me and my new knitting buddy took a road trip to Ft.Smith Arkansas to Stringtown Yarn and Fiber, did I mention it was so much fun! that I wanted to buy the whole store!. It is so hard going into LNS and not buying every little thing they have. But I did get my Lovely red bag that i will carry every were with all my little goodies inside.I also bought 2 skeins of pink Alpaca yarn ,which i am sure will take me a while to vinture into since it is so little and fraile. If you are in the Ft.Smith area I urge you to stop by the store. It is in a beautiful old brick building with hard wood floors that say (walk this way to my pile of yummy yarn). It had the feeling of a place I could just spend all day knitting and talking among friends. I am sure we will visit again really soon since it is only 1 1/2 from my home. Hint hint..lol... In the pic you will notice Hello Kitty stitch markers! These were special made for me and are a one of a kind by new new knitting buddy . I am a big,big fan of Hello kitty and even have a whole room in my house full of her:). So these stitch markers mean alot to me.. Thank you knitting buddy.I would post her site on Etsy that she sales her hand dyed yarns, but I need to get her ok first, so look for that in the future.
I'm not quit sure where this blog will take me but I do hope that It will reach far and wide and lighten someones day. Till next time , Smile and make the world a better place..
