School Is Out for Summer

The kiddo had her last day of school yesterday for summer vacation and I took my last night class last Thursday and took my state exam this morning :)... I am so glad this is all over and I can go back to my lazy life of work and knitting. It will take about a week to know if I passed my Cleet exam so I will keep my fingers crossed and pray I don't have to do that again. It has me thinking that I really need to take a couple night classes for accounting to put on my resume and possibly get another account job with normal 8-5 hours Monday thrue Friday which would be great.I think the key point here is to just take some classes to get a better paying job with normal hours and days off.
I have done NO knitting in about 1 month. This would be because I had class 3 nights and week and every night I had class I had a test...yuck.... but now I can knit, knit and more knit......
In my last post I took photos of my new Palm , which I have taken back to Sprint. I loved the phone but the service was not great and the reception was less than perfect. So for now we will stay with our current provider until last this summer when our contract is up , then we will be off to At&T .. I sure hope everyone is getting ready for a great summer and losts of fun... We are sure ready, infact my better half came home with a WII gaming system..lol.. he will be gaming on his days of now. Boys, can't live with them can't live without them....

Im still around

I thought I would post a little something before heading off to work this morning. Above are a couple of yarns and books that I have bought over the last month with all the intent to start new projects or to learn a new way to knit socks. Well, since I have been going to school none of this has happend.lol.. I have about 1 more week of school and my life will calm down ,so I am really looking forward to normal nights with the family. I went out last week and purchased a new Palm thinking it would help me keep track of tasks and bills :) , we will see if I can update the scheduler everday on the laptop,but so far this little thing is wonderful!!!!! it is like having my laptop with me everwere and more. You really can't see it from my crappy photo but the phone is PINK :) .. I sure have enjoyed reading blogs about the adventures at the Loopy Ewe Spring Fling, boy did I miss a good time.There is always next year and boy do I want to make it a point to go.
I spent a couple hours this week at the dentist office and was told I needed 3 root canals !!!!!!!!! oh my god!!! or i can have them pulled and bridges put in... I am so freaked out I don't know what to do,but I do know that they want to charge me about 5,000.00 for all this work!!!!!!! there is no way I can have all this done. So I will be looking hard into other dentist and options at this point. I should have been a dentist..:)

Long time no blog

Sorry that I have not been around much, it is just I have not had that much to blog about here on my side of the world or really time. I did find these great pics of some things I would really love to buy. One being I need a new washer and dyer and the hello kitty version would be fantastic!! and we all need a new bra girls :).
I have been going to night school for work so my time has been taken up with homework and studying for the most part . I have been working on a couple pairs of socks but I do think it is time for me to put another project on the needles, it is just finding something I want to work on at this point and time that will carry well with all my other crap I have to drag around every day. lol...well I have to get dressed for work,so till next time folks take care.

Crews in Tulsa were busy repairing roads Friday.Part of South 101st Street, between Sheridan and Memorial caved in from the flooding.Crews say this is just a temporary fix.Maintenance supervisors are looking into funding that can pay for a permanent solution.

So I hit this massive road damaged yesterday morning at 6am that I never saw because it had water standing in it and it was dark..But I hit this massive thing going about 40 miles a hour! there were no street signs stating there was damage to the road and it has fucked up the rim on my car, not to mention anything else I don't know about right now. I wrote a email to News Channel 2 to see if I call the city if they will pay for the repairs to my Brand new 2008 Malibu or whom I need to call, this was so not my fault and I am really, really upset over it.. on the News Channel 2 website there is a video of the big massive hole in the road being fixed! I guess other people fell into this damn thing yesterday and bitched.. I am so upset that I can't see straight and I am scared that my car is not going to be fixed . OOPS I Did it Again

I went and joined the Mysticlight KAL on yahoo groups. The only reason I am doing this again is because I feel like such a dumb butt after joining the Mystery Shawl 3 and didn't finish it!!! IT IS STILL SITTING AROUND MY HOUSE. I just didn't like the design after I saw all the finished products..My good freind Stacy of Tempted yarns called me and said she was going to do it and was really, really in the groove about it so I signed up on Yahoo and on the Raverly group. Now deciding what color to use on this is a nightmare for me since I just love everything out there these days :). Of coarse it will have to be pink and maybe one other color,but at this point it is all up in the air. I thought maybe I would try my hand at dyeing my own yarn since everyone in the world is doing it but me..Miss Stacy said she would help me as long as I drive to her place for the day ) ,.. I have been so busy that we have not gotten together in forever and ever!!!!! so sorry Stacy, I still love ya to death..
I went and bought yarn yesterday for the Baby blanket I am making for a girl at work and i have to say I don't like the colors, light green and light blue , but thats what she wanted. I am going to use the Broom stick lace method for this and hope that it works.This is a new crochet design for me and I am hoping that it will turn out and be very fast at the same time. Iwill post later when I actully start it.. if anyone has pictures of thier finished Broom stick lace or Hairloom lace blankets I would love to see them.. till next time :)

Need Crochet help

I am looking for a baby blanket in the broom stick lace pattern for free but have not been able to find one. My problem is that I don't know what the average size is for a baby blanket and I need for it to be not to big and really fast to crochet up since I should have had this done about 3 weeks ago. Anyone know what the average size is for a babyblanket? I don't have time to crochet a full size afghan and it has to be big enough so the child can use it later in life. Also I don't know how to figure gauge on this since I have never done Broom stick before. I will be using worsted weight yarn on this project. Any help would be fantastic at this point. I have found great instructions on youtube of broom stick lace work if anyone wants to check it out.
I have not touch my crochet in over a year since learning to knit..lol.. this will be alot of fun for me and I hope to make something for myself after I complete this baby blanket.. please email me at my oklababydoll4u@yahoo.com or leave a coment here.
